BUSSELTON JETTY TRAIN & UNDERWATER OBSERVATORY

During our visit to Busselton, a charming beachside town famous for its iconic Busselton Jetty, we will experience one of the region’s most celebrated attractions. The Busselton Jetty is renowned as the southern hemisphere’s longest wooden jetty, stretching impressively into the clear waters of Geographe Bay. We will board the distinctive red jetty train and travel along the full length of the jetty. This journey offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and the stunning sandy beaches that define the coastline. Upon reaching the end of the jetty, we will descend into the Underwater Observatory, where we can view Australia’s leading artificial reef. The observatory provides a unique opportunity to see vibrant corals, colourful sponges, and more than 300 different marine species thriving beneath the surface.

Cape Raptor Centre

Delve into the heart of Western Australia’s native forests with an engaging visit to the Cape Raptors Centre. This unique attraction provides guests with the rare opportunity to observe a diverse range of birds of prey up close. Among the remarkable species on display are eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls, each showcasing their distinctive features and natural behaviours. The highlight of the visit is a captivating bird show, where visitors can witness these magnificent creatures demonstrating their agility and prowess in flight. The centre’s skilled handlers offer insightful commentary, enhancing the experience and deepening your appreciation for these incredible animals. CAPE LEEUWIN LIGHTHOUSE

On the third day of our Margaret River tour from Perth, we journey south to Augusta to visit the renowned Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. This historic structure holds the title of the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia and is uniquely positioned on the country’s most south-westerly tip. From this vantage point, visitors are treated to the rare opportunity to witness the meeting point of the Southern and Indian Oceans. Our visit includes a walk through the historic village located at the base of the lighthouse, offering fascinating insights into the region’s maritime history. The experience culminates with a guided tour of the lighthouse itself. After ascending to the balcony, guests are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the dramatic coastline—an unforgettable highlight of the tour.

At their tasting benches, you’ll get to sample various coffees while one of their experts guides you through the brewing process–you’ll even get to watch as the beans are roasted to caffeinated perfection. For those who aren’t coffee fanatics, there is a large selection of loose-leaf teas to ensure you will be suitably perked up as well. This will definitely be the ideal beginning to your adventurous day ahead!

Bunbury Dolphin Discovery Centre

Visit the Dolphin Discovery’s interpretive centre before experiencing a memorable 60-90 minute dolphin eco cruise into Koombana Bay and the surrounding local waterways, home to a thriving population of 100-200 Bunbury Bottlenose Dolphins. The cruise vessel is specially designed to offer guests an excellent viewing platform, allowing you to get as close as possible to these fascinating marine animals without even getting your feet wet. Throughout the journey, the knowledgeable crew will introduce you to the Bottlenose Dolphins as they interact in their natural habitat. You’ll have the chance to witness the dolphins as they frolic, play, rest, and feed, offering an authentic glimpse into their daily lives. MAMMOTH CAVE

Mammoth Cave, located within the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, is a large limestone cave that features vast chambers adorned with impressive stalactites and stalagmites, creating a breathtaking subterranean wonderland. This natural time capsule is home to ancient fossil remains of long-extinct megafauna, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region's prehistoric past.

While being one of many caves in Western Australia, Mammoth Cave is one of the more accessible tourist caves in the region. Visitors can explore its vast chambers and delicate crystal formations on a self-guided tour, where well-lit pathways, informative audio guides, and accessible boardwalks bring the cave's rich history to life.
