The Flametree Winery and Cellar Door is located at the gateway to the Margaret River Wine region on the picturesque shores of Geographe Bay, Western Australia. Conveniently situated on Caves Road half way between Busselton and Dunsborough, Flametree Wines provides a relaxed and informative wine tasting experience. We are open 10am-5pm daily.
With a close connection to Kalgoorlie, the vineyard landscape reminded Jim and Gwen of their childhood stomping grounds around the gold mines of Kalgoorlie. Brown Hill was the claim that made the Golden Mile famous and Jim remembers going with his father to water their vegetable patch by diverting water from the old Brown Hill mine site. Four generations of Baileys lived in the Goldfields with close ties to Brown Hill, so it seemed only natural to give the winery the same name.
Born from a love of Bordeaux Cabernet blends, and the dream to create a stellar red wine of their own, David and Heather Watson established Woodlands in 1973 within the Wilyabrup Valley. It now covers 10 hectares, and is certified organic. The Woodlands Brook Vineyard was established in 1999, and covers 17 hectares.
