Great wine tasting in a rustic setting

With a close connection to Kalgoorlie, the vineyard landscape reminded Jim and Gwen of their childhood stomping grounds around the gold mines of Kalgoorlie. Brown Hill was the claim that made the Golden Mile famous and Jim remembers going with his father to water their vegetable patch by diverting water from the old Brown Hill mine site. Four generations of Baileys lived in the Goldfields with close ties to Brown Hill, so it seemed only natural to give the winery the same name.

Family owned boutique winery

The Credaro Family are a pioneering family to the region, first settling in Margaret River in 1922 after migrating from Northern Italy. Initially involved in farming and timber industry, small plots of vines were planted to prvide the family with table wine.

Born from a love of Bordeaux Cabernet blends, and the dream to create a stellar red wine of their own, David and Heather Watson established Woodlands in 1973 within the Wilyabrup Valley. It now covers 10 hectares, and is certified organic. The Woodlands Brook Vineyard was established in 1999, and covers 17 hectares.

Premium Family Owned Wine Tasting

Howard Park is a pioneering family-owned winery specialising in the premier regions of Margaret River and the Great Southern.

Jane and Peter Thompson purchased the Thompson Estate property in 1994, and the first plantings of chardonnay and pinot were in 1997, followed by the cabernet plantings in 1998. With new plantings on the Estate, the focus has been on high quality wine production, and this has been recognized in a large number of wine show medals and accolades from the wine press.
